Unlike the Opel GT or the B/C Kadettes, which have the fuel tank installed inside, the tank on the A-Manta is installed outside. There it is fully exposed to the weather conditions. It is therefore understandable that most unrestored Manta A tanks are damaged by corrosion. Outside as well as inside (e.g. after a long period of downtime).

The new tank is also coated with a high-quality rust-proof paint.
