The heat plate is screwed between the carburetor and the intake manifold and prevents the heat emitted from the exhaust manifold from hitting the lower part of the carburetor directly.
Opel GT and Manta / Asc. A equipped with heat plates if the models were exported to hot regions (e.g. California, AZ, Italy, etc.).
Suitable for Solex and of course Weber carburetors.
As is well known, aluminum is the metal that most effectively shields thermal effects. This is why this heat plate is made of aluminum (not sheet steel).

A seal is included in the scope of delivery.
This seal belongs UNDER the heat plate (manifold side).
The existing thick carburetor base gasket is used on the top / carburetor side (e.g. item number 5a23.4a)
